Community organizations (schools, nonprofits, philanthropic groups, membership organizations) throw a wide range of events to help bring people together. Perhaps it’s an awards presentation for the district science fair. Perhaps its the annual fundraiser for a cause. Perhaps its a panel talk bringing the present and the future of an industry together to hear from a luminary.
Whatever your event, the best community events both create a compelling official program to bring people in and the magical hallway track where chance conversations informally connect interested participants and new friendships are forged (you can’t wander into a chance conversation in the hallway and then walk to grab coffee/ snacks with the group on zoom.)
Verandas offers a great setting for these events as we help re-connect people after a year of distancing.
Unlike a hotel or restaurant space, Verandas offers a private event space with multiple rooms accessible through a single gated entrance. People enter your event from a single entrance and there are several different rooms inside if you need a command room, break room, etc.
While we provide many in-house amenities as part of a rental, you are welcome to customize the space to provide the thematic or experiential elements that best fit with your event.
There is a large parking lot (100+ spots) that isn’t exclusive to the facility but guests may either purchase parking in the space or the public lot next door or you may pre-purchase parking for either valet or self-parking or other use of the lot.
Verandas offers multiple spaces perfect creating activities in different areas for different age groups or interests.
There’s an outdoor space + stairs + upstairs patio that can be used for casual interactions and/ or lawn games. Or we can set up action stations we can’t do inside (our flaming donuts dessert station comes to mind)
Our downstairs ballroom is a wide open space, typically used for the dinner portion of an evening if you’re doing a sit-down. Flexible otherwise. (we can set up a buffet in the vestibule for a more self-service approach). We have a built-in setup available for your use that can create substantial savings when it comes to rentals.
The upstairs has a great bar, a dance floor, a stage, and a lounge area with ocean/ sunset views.
We offer a facility that brings tables, chairs, and a base package of linens, cutlery, dishes. This allows you to either use them and focus budget on other items, or rent upgraded versions of the items that matter to your vision and theme.
High speed internet/ Wifi is not currently available but has been ordered from the cable company. Please ask if details and dates are important to you.
